Remember Baby J from this session? Well, fast forward 9 months, and here she is in her little pink vest, strutting her stuff for all the world to see! What a CUTIE PIE!! Thanks, Michele, for coming out to Idlewild for my V-day mini-session weekend, and for a such fun time with your little love bug.

A belated shout out to my Eli for his 3rd birthday. It snowed, and he said, "It's my Christmas-Birthday!" Three years have gone by in a flash.

{noely}
Well, I've been looking forward to finally getting to post these pics of my friend's adorable Noel, who my Eli calls 'baby Noel' ;-) Here's a sneak peek from our session a few weeks ago. I asked his mom if I could take some photos of him at their home because they have such great natural light...and Noely has the cutest room because his momma has the best decorating tastes!! ;-) Thanks, Rachel. Your slideshow of all your images is coming...soon...I promise! But in the meantime, I hope you enjoy these...
my fave of the day

{it's great to be one -- annapolis photographer}
...and have free reign to run around, play with balls and, really, just do whatever your little heart desires, huh? ;-) Here's 'little Mr. M,' who I met up with a few weeks ago in Annapolis. Thanks, Lesley and Bill, for having me come out and capture your super-cute kiddo. It was tons of fun and reminds me why I love my job so much!
The quilt, made by a family friend, turned out to be a great backdrop! ;-)
Peek-a-boo...love this shot!
swinging with dad!
"I think I shall eat his leg now..."
big and small ;-)

{i'm on a posting spree...more of the beach! -- maryland family photographer}
We met up with our friends (and former B-more neighbors) for Labor Day weekend. Jean and I had been talking about when I could do a family photo session, and voila, the beach became the place! And Jean grew up spending time in the summer with her family in Ocean City, so it made sense that I would capture her family of 3 there!
i love me some funky, textured walls ;-)
my absolute fave photo from the entire session...doesn't Jean look beautiful? ;-)
Jean's daughter and my eli ;-) we joke that they will go to the prom together one day!

{beach session sneak peek-- maryland child photographer}
I am quickly becoming the world's worst blogger. Well, maybe not that bad, but close. Here's a peek at one of my beach sessions. Just had to post a pic so I would stop feeling guilty. More to come from both beach sessions before the week is up...I promise!! And, hey, Marylanders, how 'bout this fabulous weather, huh?

{glug baby, glug}
I am always on the lookout for casual, stylish clothes to recommend for photo sessions. I was reading a parenting mag earlier tonight and ran across a kids' clothing company called Glug Baby. I am especially in love with their boys' tees because I am the mom of a boy, and all you moms of boys out there will agree, I'm sure, that it is tough to find cute clothes for boys. There is always a TON for girls, but never for the little guys ;-( Why is that? Well, my husband could probably answer that, as he always remarks everytime we shop that his needs are simple, and typically consist of brown and blue and then more of both of the aforementioned. Perhaps with some khaki thrown in there. Anywho, take a look. There's girl stuff, too ;-) I am smitten with the bug tee and may just have to order it for Eli!
I will be back next week with lots of updates from recent sessions, two of which were in Ocean City. Beach =fun ;-) ;-)
Happy weekend, everyone.

{the case of the mysterious marbles}
So, we have these blue marbles everywhere (i mean, EVERYWHERE) in our yard. I am not sure of their origin, but we just keep finding them everytime we dig in a flower bed, or find a slightly overgrown patch of grass. Does anyone know what they could be? I'm sure it's something very very simple, that would make me say, "duh," if I knew.
Anyway, Eli loves them, and I wanted to get a shot of him holding one, and I just lucked out getting this one of him holding it right in the place of his eye. Cool, huh? I thought so ;-)
Yay for the mysterious blue marbles. Lol.

sweet sibs
Thanks to Jessica, her husband, and their gorgeous children for a fun session yesterday evening -- despite the mosquitoes and the lingering heat (yes, at 6:30!). The light was perfection for at least 15 minutes, and we tried to use every bit of it to our advantage ;-) More photos coming your way soon, Jessica!

for lisi
It's been really hit or miss lately with the weather (sigh), and I never know whether a session will happen or not, but this one happened (through a few drizzles), and, wow, what fun we had! This park was the perfect place to cut loose and be a kid (or be a kid again) ;-) Thanks so much to Lisi and her family, who are quite possibly the nicest people I have ever met!!! More photos coming to you soon, Lisi.

For Shannon
Here's a sneak peak, but there are many more! Despite being chased out of the great outdoors by quite a downpour, we had a great time with bubbles, rocket launchers, ducks, and some good old-fashioned toe-tickling! What a fun family :-) Happy week, everyone!
